Current Inspirations- Terrariums

One thing I'm currently inspired by is..

I haven't been sucessful in making any of my own yet. I had one going well for a while, but then my cats opened it up one night while we were gone and strew the plants around the living room. They survived.. Barely... But then I over-watered them and they rotted. :(

I am determined to have a beautiful terrarium one day though! But for now, here are some lovely inspirational terrarium photos.

This one is so delicate.

Love these cube containers

An orchid in a terrarium is so pretty!

Looking pretty and killing flies at the same time!

My cats would love batting these hanging terraiums.

Hopefully sometime in the future I will be posting about my own terrariums. :)

  1. I've always loved terrariums, but unfortunately I've always been known as a bit of a plant killer so I daren't have one of my own! These are some lovely examples you've found though, I hope you're able to have your own at some point :)

    1. Thanks! And practice makes perfect! (Believe me I've killed plenty of plants before I figured out how to keep them alive!)

  2. they're all so pretty and spring like. i love how the light shines through them and makes the plant leaves glow!
what fun your kitties would have with the hanging ones. when you mentioned that, i could just see them gazing up at them while batting at them with their little paws!

  3. Terrariums are super cute aren't they? I love them because anyone can have a little greenery. My best friend Amanda got me a kit a couple of years ago but I never made time for the activity. They're now how on our list to tackle as craftea ladies! Maybe we can make them at the same time? :)

  4. They sure are beautiful. Whenever I see these I also think of the one that has been at my Grandmother's house for decades. The plants are all still alive and healthy too. Once there was even a frog living in it! I hope that you are able to have one. My goodness your kitties sound so cheeky!

  6. What great fun darling pictures. That Lady Slipper orchid is exquisite! I always think about making a terrarium in the dead of winter, like January, when I'm really starting to miss lush green plants after I've taken down all the festive Christmas decorations and everything looks so bare.
