Thrifty Finds

I wanted to share some of my latest thrifty finds. We hadn't been thrift shopping in a while and we ended up having really good luck at our favorite place.

I found these two cute shirts plus this plaid skirt, perfect for Christmas time outfits!

Jeeves thought my skirt was a nice place to sit down and have a bath..

Steven found some desert boot style shoes he has been wanting.

And the best find was this awesome camera set for 40 dollars! I saw this bag shoved in a corner and thought "Hmm... There could be a camera in there..." And sure enough, there was!  I got some film  for it in the mail the other day and I can't wait to try it out!  I have been wanting an older film camera for a while now.

Have you found anything good at a thrift store lately?

  1. whoa, dude! that canon is AWESOME!! i've recently found some cool old books that i just have to buy even though my shelves are over flowing, but almost two weeks ago i found a vintage canon slr at a garage sale. it looks a lot like yours but didn't come with a lens cap or case, just the 50mm lens that was on it. i'm not complaining, though. it's a 1971 Canon FTb and it was only $3. it's so much fun to experiment with! i can't wait to share the photos once their developed, and i hope we can see yours, too. :)

  2. Oh wow, what a find with that camera set, especially with the lenses and bag! It's almost a shame it's not a Nikon so you could of used those lenses on your DSLR. I just love shooting with old film cameras, there's nothing like it. I'll look forward to see your photos. I love the tartan skirt too!

  3. Wow what an awesome score on the camera - that's a great find. I found a similar camera bag at an estate sale the other year - although sadly no camera inside so I use it as storage for loads of my sewing threads!

    1. This bag really would be a good place to store sewing supplies if it wasn't used for a camera!
