Biking Adventures

We finally started riding our bikes again. We used to ride them all the time, but the last few years we have been seriously slacking.

Our favorite bike trail has been closed for construction, but we decided to be rebellious and bike it anyway. The first part of the construction zone was nearly complete and easy to bike though.

The new bridge is already sporting some graffiti.

Unfortunately the second construction area was a little bit too muddy to get through so we had to turn around. It was still a fun little adventure though.

Since the trail is closed, they haven't been bothering to keep with the mowing. I personally prefer the overgrown look!

The other trail we like is off in the country. It's a nice flat path with lovely views of pastures and fancy houses.

More graffiti sightings!

Biking is definitely my favorite way to exercise!

Do you any of you guys ride bikes as well?

  4. You live in such a pretty area! I always prefer the overgrown look too, everywhere is getting cut back lately where I live and it's such a shame. I really need to get on my bike, I haven't ridden it yet at all this year.

  7. These look like nice places for a bike ride. I prefer walking, but Kris loves to bike, so we do a bit of both. I laughed at the terrible "lol lol lol" graffiti. Kids have no imagination these days.

    1. Walking is fun too, you get to enjoy your surroundings a bit more if you're not whizzing by on a bike. Yeah, when I saw that graffiti I thought, really, is that the best you can come up with? Haha.

  8. Love that mushroom graffiti, kinda bad art but funny! I'm meant to be picking up a new to me (at least) bike at the weekend, not too many trails around here but riding around the streets might get me fitter at least.

    1. Riding around neighborhoods is fun too! I love to admire other people's houses. There are so many hills around my city though that that's a little tough to do :p

  9. Mushroom graffiti is so cool! Must be from the School of Arts kids. The photo with the bikes against the wild are nice. Inspires me to give bike riding a try again
